Two weeks ago, I flew into Los Angeles to take a professional exam required to advance my career. I was scheduled to crash in the spare room of my friend Ally Iseman in Santa Monica. As it turned out, tens of thousands of acres of LA County were in flames that week. Ally had to grab her cat and her “Go Bag” to evacuate her home as the building next door caught fire.
She ended up spending part of that weekend with me at a hotel in Culver City. On the night after my exam, we went to watch Nicole Kidman lap milk out of a dish while a hot young actor gave a career making performance by dancing shirtless to Father Figure. Enjoying art and eroticism was just the escape we needed from the careening inferno of the outside world. Fortunately, her home only suffered smoke damage but many of her friends lost everything.
This week, we had a LIVE conversation about the movie Babygirl (spoiler alert). But our conversation went far beyond an ordinary movie critique. We discuss fantasy, desire, communication, vulnerability, parenting, midlife sexual health and customized relationship design. We even touch on anatomy, hormones and prevention of STI’s.
